    Хариулт: Just push on on the ladder and it will release from the grooved lock position.
  • Асуулт: Would this work on a overhanging pool deck? Also would the pool chemicals damage the plastic?

    Хариулт: Yes it seems to work with an overhanging pool deck... at least it does with mine...my deck has a 6 inch front board... don't know if it would work on a shorter front board. (like the edge of a 2X4 which is only 1 5/8) As for the pool chemicals...I know galvanized steel gets eaten alive by the chems... and stainless steel gets hot to the touch... so I'm hoping this ladder will do OK... I've only had mine in the pool for a couple of weeks so far. But I'm fairly confident that the plastic should hold up to the chems.
  • Асуулт: Since this ladder is impossible to pull up due to water, could you plug half of the holes so it will stay down but makes it easier to pull up?

    Хариулт: Doubtful - once the base fills with some water its virtually impossible to lift it out of the water from a dock, etc without breaking your back. I've replaced this and installed an aluminum ladder that it easier to lift up and lock in place out of the water.
  • Асуулт: What type of bolts are available to purchase for this? Do the bolts need to be locked in by nuts from under the boat dock?

    Хариулт: Yes, you'll need to bolt it to the deck. I used Stainless steel bolts with Aero nuts so it wouldn't come loose or rust. They're available at most local hardware stores. You'll just need to determine how thick the decking is so you buy bolts long enough to get through the deck AND ladder base. I used some fender washers too to spread out the load on the ladder base. It's been working just fine for two years now.
  • Асуулт: Can you attach this to an EZ-dock ?

    Хариулт: No.. it requires bolts to hold in place... I have EZ-Dock and this ladder from my previous wooden dock. EZ Dock has 2 options for ladders that you need to buy from them. Their cheapest option is an aluminum ladder that you can lift out of water..cost is about $475

The ladder is designed to sit at an angle, making it easy to climb up the stairs rather than having to pull yourself up. It is made of high-quality materials and feels sturdy enough to hold your weight. However, the ladder can be quite difficult to get out of the water, and you might need to tie a rope to the bottom step and use something for leverage. The ladder is also heavy to pull up out of the water, and once the base fills with water it is almost impossible to lift it out of the water without breaking your back. In terms of installation, the ladder needs to be bolted to the deck, and it is recommended to use stainless steel bolts with Aero nuts so it won't come loose or rust. It's essential to determine how thick the decking is, so you buy bolts long enough to get through the deck and ladder base. Additionally, it is necessary to attach the ladder to the bracing beneath the Trex, so it doesn't move around too much. Overall, the Dock Edge Dock Ladder is an excellent product to Consider if you need access to your boat or jet dock. It might be challenging to pull it up out of the water, but it's sturdy and made of high-quality materials that will last.
