If maximum ice longevity in the hottest conditions is desired, it needs to be "seasoned" starting 36 hours or so before. The usable inside space is 15" x 10" x 10". This cooler is not the lightest on the market and could be inconvenient to tote around, especially when loaded with ice and beer.
