İpli olanları zor ayırdılar. Arafat'ta Bir Çocuk 12 Mart Muhtırası'nın etkisi altında yazılan, birbirinden bağımsız sekiz hikayeden oluşuyor. Bir kuşağın, ömrü boyunca izini taşıyacağı sürgün günlerini anlatıyor. Usta edebiyatçı Livaneli'nin kendi hayat deneyiminden damıtarak kaleme aldığı bu hikayeler, sürgün hayata dair olağanüstü gözlem ve tasvirlerle örülüyor.
