The size 4 doesn't have any grow room in the torso length and the legs are way long....

We live in the south so that’s what I’d do if he wore them at all during the summer.

If you can't contribute positively then move along, sir. I plan on buying a 3t even though he wears 2t in almost everything else. They say they run small and at least if they are too big he can grow into them and it isn't a wasted purchase if they were too small.
