This ceramic heater is perfect for heating up small rooms quickly. It heats up a 10x14 room from 40 to 65 degrees in around 20 minutes. It does not have a fan only option, but if the temperature is turned down to 43 degrees it will shut off. The temperature sensor is in the unit, not the remote control, and it does have a shut off switch if it's tipped over. There have been some reports of the power cord overheating, which could be a problem. However, it does not smell and is easy to vacuum occasionally to prevent dust buildup.
